Another daredevil in the family?!

YIKES!  So, we're watching Bubby's last baseball game & I guess the Princess decided she couldn't see him well enough, or maybe she just wanted to see if she could do it, who the heck knows. What I DO know is, this is what the little monkey accomplished in the blink of an eye...


Ok, these have nothing to do with her being a daredevil, I just thought they were cute & since it's my blog, I get to share.

I love seeing the relationship between my Prince Charming & our Little Brown eyed Princess. They have so much fun together. She adores her Daddy & she has him wrapped around her little finger! Even though she is "MY" little girl, I hope they always have a great & close relationship!

Hockey BBQ...

We always celebrate the end of the hockey season with a BBQ, this is something I always look forward to. I really enjoy the parents & I LOVE seeing the kids enjoy & get to know their teammates off the rink. A great time was had by all. Here are a few of the fun shots I took...

Last hockey tourney of the season...

All 3 of our age divisions did GREAT.  They all made it to the championships, both the 12u & 10u teams took home the GOLD, the 8u got the silver.  That game went into OT & was GREAT, such a fun game to watch.  Final score: 9-8.

It was another GREAT season, lots of growing & learning & of course, tons of FUN! Can't wait for next year so we can do it all again. GO WILDFIRE!

Boys newest "obsession"...

I know it's been a while since I've actually written a "real" post with pics, so, thought I would share some of what we've been up too lately.

Bonez sold some stuff on ebay & decided he wanted to spend his $ on air soft guns. He had "played" 1 time with some friends, but they only got to play 1 "round" before it started raining. I wasn't totally on board with this, NOT because I didn't want them to play, BUT, *I* didn't feel he needed to spend THAT much $ on a gun. (This is why B put Daddy in charge) LOL. Bonez even bought enough guns so he could play with his brothers & even have an extra for a friend.

Anyway, it's been a HUGE hit, they only got to play a little bit since we had a hockey tourney, but that certainly didn't stop them from turning my backyard into a war zone!

I am SO tired!

I stopped by a friend's house yesterday to drop something off, while there, we made plans to go see a movie later that night. Her hubby was here helping mine with something, so when he left for home, I jumped in his car & off we went. Kathy & I took off for the movies shortly after. We saw MAMA MIA, LOVED it BTW! We laughed so hard (& drooled too). We left the theatre & headed back here so she could drop me off. Well... just like old times, we started chatting, & chatting, & chatting some more. At one point, she said something about the time, HOLY COW, it was already 1am! At about 3 (yep, AM) my porch light went out, ut oh, that's not good. Kathy flashed the lights & I ran to the door, I was locked out! Luckily hubby was just heading up to bed so I banged on the door & he unlocked it for me. I went back out to the car & we picked up where we left off.

Long story short, I came in the house at 4 this morning. Of course, at that point, even though I was tired, I couldn't go right to sleep, so I started reading "The Book", then checked out some things online. I FINALLY turned off the lights at 5! Because the Princess had fallen asleep on the floor with her brothers in the family room, I decided to sleep on the couch. (I didn't want her to wake & try coming upstairs in the dark). I was woken up at some ridiculous hour by the shower upstairs. I drug my self up the stairs & realized it was only 7, no wonder I felt like a zombie! Hubby had an early meeting so he left as I climbed back into bed. Of course, the kids woke up soon after so let's just say that I haven't gotten very much sleep this morning.

It was SO worth it though. Kathy & I used to do this all the time when I lived here before. There was a group of us that would go out every month, after Bunco, or Enrichment etc & "gather" just to hang out because we didn't want the evening to end. Without fail, it would end up only being her & I, (we seemed to be the only ones that didn't have a "curfew". I haven't done this since we moved from here 4 years ago. I didn't realize how much I missed it.

We really "caught up" on everything going on in each other's lives & just "did the girl thing" & had fun chatting, giggling, & sharing some pretty personal thoughts & stories. Man, what a night, er, morning... LOL

10. FAVORITE FAST FOOD PLACE? I have lots... In & Out is my VERY favorite, but since there isn't one around... Taco Bell, Arby's, Dandy's (local drive in) & Sonic I think that covers it...


11. FUTURE CHILD'S NAME? Sorry, no more kiddos for us. IF I had to come up with another though, I would use... Eastyn or Brynli

12. FINISH THIS STATEMENT. "IF I HAD A LOT OF MONEY..."? ...it would solve a lot of our problems, but wouldn't make us "happier". We have a great relationship even without the $.

13. DO YOU DRIVE FAST? What's your definition of "fast"? My DH's idea of "fast" and mine don't always match up. I'm actually pretty careful (speed wise) when *I'm* driving long distance, I do NOT want a ticket!

14. DO YOU SLEEP WITH A STUFFED ANIMAL? Uh, have to say NO to that one, I do have to have MY pillow though.

15. STORMS-COOL OR SCARY? Cool... I love the rain. But then again I've never been in anything like a tornado or hurricane.

27. TOILET PAPER -OVER OR UNDER? Under, but lately, I haven't really cared, as long as it gets put on, it's all good.

29. MORNING PERSON, OR NIGHT OWL? You have to ask? Do NOT call my house before 9am unless it's an emergency & even then, I can't guarantee I'll be nice.

28. OVER EASY OR SUNNY SIDE UP? If I HAVE to eat them (read: someone else is making them and it would be rude of me not to force down a few bites), scrambled. With cheese to drown out the icky egg flavor.

31. FAVORITE PLACE TO RELAX? Relax? What is that? I'm not too picky, just anywhere it's quiet. Sometimes, it's the bathroom lol.

32. FAVORITE PIE? Cherry, or apple. Oh, I also love chocolate mousse. Strawberry is yummy too.

Ok, so... anyone want to "steal" this from me? I'll even give you my permission. LOL

An update...

Yes, I know it's been a while, sorry, I've been busy living life with my family.  Here's a quick recap for ya until I have more time...

Boys had their last hockey tourney of the season this last weekend, they all did GREAT!  Bonez' team was undefeated & took home the gold (obviously).  He played the best he's played all year, he was a lot of fun to watch.  He also was pretty stoked that he scored in every game too.

C-Man's team also took home the gold & were undefeated.  He had another GREAT tourney.  He ended up scoring too, I can't believe how aggressive he has gotten in playing lately.  Hopefully he'll keep it up for next season too.

Bubby's team... well, they struggled this tourney, BIG TIME.  They ended up taking home the silver, but holy cow, it was rough.  THe first game, I honestly think the kids were laying on the rink more than they were actually skating.  After the game, I even asked him if he was tired & trying to take a nap, his response: "I WAS TRYING TOO, THEY WOULDN'T LET ME!"  CRAZY KID!!!  The championship game was INCREDIBLE, it went into overtime, & we lost, but man, what a great game!

We had our end of the year BBQ after the last game, I always have so much fun at those, it's fun to see the kids play & strengthen their friendships off the rink.  It's also great to be able to sit & chat with the other parent's too.  Ok, & the food is always good so that's a big bonus as well! LOL

Bonez left for the Pioneer Trek bright & early yesterday morning.  Daddy dropped him off at the church at 4:30 am.  He'll be back sometime late Sat night.  I'll fill ya in on more details later.

We have a baseball BBQ for Bub's team tonight before his last game, I'm not sure if we're going... not sure how I feel about it.

We had to give the pool key back... but we're going again today since another friend offered us the use of theirs, I am EXCITED, it's supposed to be a hot one today.

I picked up Breaking Dawn yesterday, late afternoon from the library, well, I stayed up until 3:30 this morning & am now through book 2.  Can we say... it's gonna be a looooong day!  I am already exhausted!  But boy is it worth it!  This is seriously the best series I've read (& I read a lot!).  I LOVE the Twilight series, thanks Des!

Ok, that's what's been going on in my life, nothing too exciting, but there ya have it.  I'll give more details of stuff & add pics when I'm done with the book.
